Noam Rose was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He is a final year medical student at the American Medical Program at Tel Aviv University, where he was selected as a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society for outstanding clinical care and compassion. Noam holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business. Initially interested in Investment Banking, an unexpected injury and an exceptional orthopedic surgeon inspired him to pursue medicine instead.
During medical school, Noam founded the program’s podcast, hosting interviews with physicians and residents across specialties. He also conducted pain medicine research with a team at the University of Southern California, contributing to several publications and conference presentations.
Noam plans to pursue a career in psychiatry, drawn to the field for its engagement with questions of human experience such as identity, resilience, suffering, and healing. He is particularly interested in emergency psychiatry, interventional modalities for treatment-resistant illness, and the ethical dimensions facing mental health care today.
Outside of medicine, Noam enjoys staying active, writing, and spending time with his growing family. He also teaches weekly classes and gives talks on Jewish thought in his community.
