Stuart graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Columbia University, where he honed his skills in research and critical thinking. He then completed a post-baccalaureate degree and two years of clinical depression research before purchasing a one-way ticket out to Los Angeles at the height of the pandemic.
Stuart is currently entering his fourth year at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where he is a member of the Class of 2025. Stuart’s journey into medicine is deeply rooted in his passion for patient care, research, and advocacy, especially in the fields of hematology, oncology, and neurology. As a medical student he was the co-editor in chief of The Beat, UCLA’s Medical Humanities journal alongside tutoring first year students in Anatomy. Stuart is also an active member of the UCLA community, serving as a Student Representative on the campus-wide UCLA Task Force on Combating Antisemitism and Anti-Israeli Bias. He is also passionate about fostering dialogue between different communities, as demonstrated by his participation in the NewGround Professional Fellowship, which promotes understanding between Muslim and Jewish communities in Los Angeles.
Outside of medical school, Stuart enjoys playing tennis, writing, and going to stand-up comedy shows in LA. His long-term goals include becoming a Neurologist and contributing to research in neurodegenerative disease.
