Youlan moved to New York to attend the Juilliard School’s Pre-College Division, studying under Yoheved Kaplinsky. Youlan was the First Prize Winner of The 2018 New York International Piano Competition.

Pianist Youlan Ji, born in 1996 in Beijing, China, began studying the piano at age 4 with her mother. Between age 9 and 12, Youlan continued her piano studies with Professor Yuan Ling at the Affiliated Middle School of Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. In 2012, Youlan moved to New York to attend the Juilliard School’s Pre-College Division, where she studied with Yoheved Kaplinsky. Youlan was the Joyce B. Cowin First Prize Winner of The 2018 New York International Piano Competition, a biennial event presented by The Stecher and Horowitz Foundation.
