Overview

Relationships and interactions in the first 3 years of life lay the foundation for lifelong health and well-being. Yet most parents of young children are overloaded by conflicting parenting advice. The Simms/Mann Institute created the CuddleBright® Experience to give parents the necessary tools to connect with, comfort, and calm both themselves and their children—promoting positive interactions that help children adapt and become more resilient from infancy through toddlerhood and beyond.

Informed by child development theory, years of clinical experience, and the latest neuroscience research, the CuddleBright® Experience is a hands-on, dynamic parenting system. It includes a cuddly Lovie, illustrated Board Book, a parent’s Keepsake Heart, Parenting Guide, CuddleBright® songs, and access to curated online parenting resources.

Desired Impact

The Institute made the CuddleBright® system available to families nationwide in 2016. CuddleBright® also partners with qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit hospitals, health centers, and community agencies to empower hundreds of underserved families.

Most recently, CuddleBright® partnered with Baby Live Advice™ (BLA)—a leading virtual maternal telehealth provider whose interdisciplinary team of professionals helps create better outcomes for parents and babies across the socioeconomic spectrum–to bring the CuddleBright® Experience to an even wider audience through online classes. Parents learn actionable strategies to manage their own stress and develop crucial self-care routines; learn how vital relationships are for their child’s lifelong health; and come away with hands-on techniques to bond with their baby, create predictable and consistent routines, and ease separations and transitions.

The Goodbye Separation Routine was so helpful to have clear steps to follow. I also loved the idea of personalizing routines with a sweet ritual that only me and my little one would share.”
