Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) is committed to fostering an equitable and inclusive community dedicated to the success of every student.

The Simms/Mann Family Foundation donated to the Foundation for SBCC Campaign for Student Success and the SBCC Running Start Program. The SBCC Campaign for Student Success is an annual fundraising campaign to provide critical funds for SBCC and its students. SBCC Running Start provides services to 12th-grade students who may be financially and/or academically underprepared and who may not test into college-level Math and English classes.

Running Start

Desired Impact

The Simms/Mann Family Foundation was instrumental in helping to fund educational opportunities at SBCC, supporting every student’s right to an accessible education. The annual Campaign for Student Success raised funds for any needs of the college for the coming school year. The Running Start Program provided students with the academic and financial assistance necessary to be successful college students. Simms/Mann’s donations assisted students in making a smooth transition from high school to college life and created new opportunities for current students at the college.
