- Combating antisemitism and promoting tolerance.
Overview
Founded to continue the work of a legendary Nazi hunter, the Simon Wiesenthal Center is a global leader in fighting antisemitism, defending the State of Israel, and using the lessons of the Holocaust to teach tolerance. Organized around three core pillars—Advocacy (SWC Action), Education (Museums of Tolerance), and Storytelling (Moriah Media)—the Center works across policy, classrooms, research, and popular media to shape how individuals, institutions, and societies understand and respond to antisemitism and hate.
The Center is based in Los Angeles alongside its iconic Museum of Tolerance, with on-the-ground operations in New York, Chicago, South Florida, Toronto, Vienna, Buenos Aires, and Jerusalem.
From leading thought-provoking conversations with hundreds of thousands of students across the U.S., to advocating and calling out hate at the highest levels, to producing compelling films and series that highlight Jewish stories for global audiences—SWC meets today’s challenges with urgency, boldness, and innovation.
The Simms/Mann Family Foundation has provided annual general operating support to SWC since 2023.
Desired Impact
SWC seeks to build a society that can recognize, resist, and prevent antisemitism and extremism before they take hold. By combining groundbreaking research, direct education, strategic advocacy, and powerful narrative storytelling, SWC aims to shape public understanding and empower leaders to act with clarity and purpose.
Ultimately, SWC aspires to create lasting cultural and policy change—ensuring that Jewish communities and others can thrive in safety and that the lessons of history are actively applied to confront the challenges of today and tomorrow.
The challenges we face today are not new. But the world has changed, and we are changing with it.”
